Trade Secrets

Trade secrets can provide important competitive advantages for a business and as such
are often among a company’s most valued assets. It is critical that a company take active steps
to protect its trade secrets from misappropriation. Often concerns arise when employees leave
the company, and we counsel clients in dealing with these issues. We also advise companies
how to avoid situations where actions of its own employees could potentially give rise to
allegations of misappropriation from its competitors. Collaboration agreements, NDAs, and
other agreements pertaining to joint ventures can implicate trade secrets and we draft and
negotiate such agreements on behalf of our clients, paying careful attention to these issues so
that our clients' confidential and critical information  can be protected.
